Chapel

The chapel at Pragser Wildsee was built in the early 20th century and consecrated in 1904. Today, it is privately owned by the Hotel Pragser Wildsee. Please note that professional photo shoots are not permitted.

PRAGSER WILDSEE

When nature becomes magical, you find yourself in a place like this.

Nestled amongst the mountains of the Fanes-Senes-Prags Nature Park, Lake Pragser Wildsee is a place that fills you with wonder, radiates positive energy and stays with you forever.

An emerald-green mirror at an altitude of 1,496 metres: 31 hectares of crystal-clear water, up to 36 metres deep. It’s considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the Dolomites. A walk around the lake is a must—the 3.5-kilometer route takes about an hour, but for photography enthusiasts, the trip can take longer as they snap hundreds of photos to take home. Pragser Wildsee is worth a visit in every season, all year round.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Pragser Wildsee is located in the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park. It is a place to admire, respect, and protect – a natural habitat for many plant and wildlife species. We urge everyone to respect nature.

  • We recommend that you take all your waste with you; however, there are several waste bins located along the lake.
  • Open fires, barbecues and camping tents are strictly prohibited.
  • Drones are prohibited on private property. Any violations will be reported to the relevant authorities.

Please note: To protect nature, routine inspections are conducted. Any violations are subject to penalties.
